Turkish Airlines used the IFTM Top Resa Tourism Trade Fair in Paris to increase visibility of its new flights to the Seychelles starting end of October. Seychelles was their chosen destination to be on their stand where a branded Paris Taxi sat proudly for all to see.
The vivid colourful image of a Seychelles landscape with its turquoise blue seas, lush green vegetation and granite boulders was the photograph used alongside the Turkish Airline logo.
The Seychelles delegation at the IFTM Top Resa said they were happy the it was a Seychelles branded taxi that was chosen to be their display vehicle. Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture did a photo shooting opportunity with the Seychelles branded Paris Taxi accompanied by Ambassador Bernard Shamlaye, Seychelles Ambassador in France, Sherin Francis, the CEO of the island's Tourism Board, Bernadette Willemin, the Paris based Director for Europe for the Seychelles Tourism Board and Christine Barbier, Miss Seychelles 2016.
A couple of years ago when the Seychelles relaunched its tourism industry after the appointment of Alain St.Ange as CEO of its Tourism Board and Vice President Joseph Belmont holding the tourism portfolio a Seychelles branded London Black-Cab Taxi was the centre of attraction at the World Travel Market tourism trade fair of London. "With V.P. Belmont we had a photo opportunity in London. Spot a Seychelles Taxi was then target for travel agents and fans of Seychelles" said Minister St.Ange in Paris as he gave the nod to the Seychelles branded Paris Taxi with Turkish Airline.
"We are mid-ocean islands and need airlines as our partners if we are to continue to consolidate our tourism industry. The visibility enjoyed by our islands during the last couple of years has ensured we remain relevant as a tourism destination with a difference. Today we are better connected to the world than ever before and by the 31st December 2016 we shall see eleven more weekly flights landing at Seychelles International Airport - seven by Qatar Airways, thee by Turkish Airline and a second service by CONDOR of Germany" said Minister St.Ange.
