Queensland will soon get a taste of world class tourism with the development of the new Queen’s Wharf in Brisbane by 2022.

The new Queen’s Wharf development will benefit Queenslanders far and wide. The nearly $3 billion development is expected to generate more than 8000 jobs for the region and will add $4 billion to the Gross State Product once completed.

Swiss-born, French-trained Sous Chef Stephane Guzzante has been rolled in for the development project who is working with the Star Entertainment Group – the company behind Brisbane casino Treasury and Gold Coast staple Jupiter’s

“We seek to find the highest of quality and freshest produce right across the state to highlight in our diverse offerings and a significant portion comes from the Ipswich region, including the succulent crayfish and heirloom tomatoes… as well as beetroots and silverbeet from nearby Boonah,” he said.

“The development will have 50 new bars, cafes and restaurants, so this is just one of the aspects we want to speak to north Queensland suppliers about: to start the conversation about how they might leverage this opportunity with their locally-grown produce, and to help us meet this demand.”

Five hotels, three residential towers, a department store, and a signature ‘Arc’ building will be added to Brisbane’s skyline once the construction is completed.

Guzzante is travelling across the Sunshine State with the Department of State Development and the Star Entertainment Group, roaming from Brisbane to Townsville to Cairns over October and November.
