The park would be constructed close to the indoor theme park that has won the prestigious title of the world’s largest theme park.

This theme park would also include a pedestrian walkway in between the attractions. And, the park would be opened in the month of August. Lennard Otto who is the CEO of IMG World said that Dubai characterizes a growing market and a brand new segment of entertainment.

He went on to add that today Dubai lacks quality entertainment that prompts a large number of people to travel outside this region in the quest of thrilling adventures and indulge in activities of theme parks of this scale.

It would be the very first time that the six brands have licensed their characters for utilization on a theme park.

Apart from all these, World of Legends theme park would also have over 2,00,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

Otto has not disclosed as to when the project would be finally completed. But then, he said that he is hopeful that the project would be capable of leveraging the visit of 20 million people for Dubai’s Expo in 2020.

Though the concept of theme parks is new to Dubai, IMG World already has started facing competition.

Another gigantic project entitled Dubai Parks and Resorts has started opening gradually and it would cost over $3 billion. This would include LegoLand, that is a Bollywood-themed zone and it also has a water park.

Otto said that the entertainment sector in Dubai is growing steadily.
