Life is good on European Waterways’ hotel barge cruises with the recent announcement that it is offering 20% off per person on La Bella Vita, an intimate, 20-passenger vessel that cruises the waterways between Venice and Mantua in Italy. The offer, which applies to departures on April 30 and May 28, also includes a waiver of the single supplement. With the offer, cabin prices start at $3,432 per person, a saving of $858 off the regular price. Single travelers also benefit from a waiver of the $1,700 supplement, saving them at least $2,558 off the regular price of a cabin. European Waterways pays travel agent commission on all bookings.

La Bella Vita, which translates to “the good life,” features comfortable cabins with private bathrooms, a bright, spacious dining room and open bar. It also boasts a huge sun deck where guests can relax with a drink and admire the colorful islands and wildlife drifting by.

“La Bella Vita is the perfect vessel for immersing yourself in Italian Renaissance culture,” said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. “The cruise is like taking a journey back in time, starting in the Venetian lagoon and navigating the calm waters of the Po Valley to the city of Mantua, which was recently named the ‘Italian Capital of Culture.’”

The cruise combines locally-sourced food, expertly prepared by the onboard master chef, fine Italian wines and exclusive visits to fascinating attractions along the way, including a private wine tasting in a 17th century villa. Guests also enjoy dinner, hosted by a Countess, in a private stately home where the poet Lord Byron once lived.
“Guests aboard La Bella Vita will truly get a taste of ‘the good life,’” said Banks. “With the 20% off special, they’ll also get a great value.”
