American Airlines is ready to offer jet service at Tweed-New Haven Airport that would be commencing next week.

American Eagle would start replacing its 37-seat Dash 8 turboprop service with 50-seat CRJ-200 regional jet aircraft on 20thNovember.

Tim Larson who is the executive director of American Airlines mentioned that they are glad to declare that America is introducing new jet service at Tweed-New Haven Airport. This upgraded service represents and improved and more seamless passenger experience for their customers and demonstrates American’s commitment to their growing market.

The airport said that the jet service of American would be connecting New Haven passengers to over 21 nations and 115 destinations with a one-stop connection in Philadelphia that represents the global hub of the airlines.

The new jet service would be offering more access to flights and an improved flying experience.

Tweed has become a stronger asset and also a more convenient option for New Haven and the surrounding towns. New Haven Mayor Toni N. Harp said that this is actually an important economic win for the region that can only benefit from the rise in people coming and going.

Of late American Airlines has announced that it would ne starting summer seasonal service from Philadelphia to Prague, Czech Republic and Budapest, Hungary and also service to Zurich, Switzerland.

New Haven passengers can also access four new domestic markets through Philadelphia including Iowa, Madison, Omaha, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Des Moines, San Antonio and Eexas.
