On Monday, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum introduced the new Mina Rashid Marina. The Marinas can now port over 5,000 yachts along with boats and house 20,000 in the coming years. It is anticipated to turn into a world-class attraction in terms of maritime and entertainment.
 
The said project is carried out by P&O, a portion of DP World, stretches over 13 square kilometers. It features plenty of facilities, like an integrated entertainment city, Marina Cube.

 
Sheikh Mansoor visited the place along with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, DP World Group chairman and CEO and chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC).
Once fully operational, the marina will comprise over 19 designated docks from A to U.


Additionally, 646 berths it can accommodate with over 5,000 boats. In terms of entertainment, there are restaurants, cafes, retail shops with walking alleys, as part of the Marina Cubes project. Also, the project will include residential units and an open area to allow small seaplanes to land.
 
Currently in its second phase, the first phase of the project has the power to berth 260 boats and yachts, the second can handle over 130 boats and the third will berth 16 big yachts and will get live from mid-2018.

 
Bin Sulayem said: “Cruise tourists coming to Dubai will have the best entertainment facilities awaiting them.”

 
Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Mannai, CEO of P&O and executive director of Mina Rashid, said: “The project will attract foreign investment and boost tourism, not only in Dubai but all of UAE.”
